Aartvark
Aartvark is a family owned business located in picturesque Kaikoura, on the East Coast of New Zealand's South Island. We specialise in all types of custom framing - pastels, oils, watercolours, acrylic, photos, needlework, memorabilia, really just about anything! We are also involved in organising local exhibitions and have a small gallery and art supplies shop associated with the framing workshop.Profiles:
Wayne Nelson, GCF
Wayne has been professionally framing since 2005. He holds the GCF qualification from the Fine Arts Trade Guild, one of the most widely recognised qualifications in the world for picture framers. He is also a member of the NZIPF (Inc). Previously, Wayne worked as a landscaper, but that's a job for young people, and he's not getting any younger!
Mikayla Nelson
Mikayla manages the exhibition side of the business with help from Dad. She also keeps the gallery/workshop clean and tidy and makes awesome cups of coffee.
Marianne Nelson
Marianne is the head honcho, devoted wife and mother. She keeps everyone under control and makes sure they stay focused on the important things.
